We are excited to announce that we have been hard at work to put together a fantastic Midwest Furfest virtual convention from December 18th - 20th 2020!

The staff of Midwest FurFest have been looking forward to this year’s convention while considering the unique health and safety requirements of large-scale social events.

We wish to thank everyone who joined us to celebrate the 20th Midwest FurFest this year. Over the weekend, we hosted approximately 11,000 attendees from almost 50 countries all over the world.

We are excited to announce DataHawk will become the next ConChair of Midwest FurFest! DataHawk, who has been involved with the community since 1995, will become the first female Convention Chair of MFF. She has been involved in the convention since the "MFF" kickoff party at DucKon in 1999. 

If you were among the hundreds of donors to Charities at previous Midwest FurFests, you may wonder where that money goes. For Felines & Canines, MFF’s charity in 2012 and 2016, it went into a special place that has won a national award for its innovation!

In 2012, MFF helped this Chicago rescue organization with much-needed resources to expand their adoption efforts from cats alone, to dogs and cats. In 2016, we were excited to welcome them back and raise the funds to  expand their operations with the new Hunter Stephenson Rescue Center in northern Alabama.

First off, thank you for your patience this year as we expand the hotel lottery system. We have worked hard to include all of our partner hotels in the lottery process to make the process as fair and painless as possible for you, our staff and the partner hotels we work with.

Did you know that Midwest FurFest is turning 20 this year? Okay...maybe not technically 20, but this year is still our 20th convention, which has to count for something, right?

As we approach your final destination, on behalf of the myself and the entire staff, I want to thank you for flying with Midwest FurFest this weekend. We know you have many choices when choosing a furry con and we thank you for choosing us.
