We are excited to announce DataHawk will become the next ConChair of Midwest FurFest! DataHawk, who has been involved with the community since 1995, will become the first female Convention Chair of MFF. She has been involved in the convention since the "MFF" kickoff party at DucKon in 1999.
Over the last 20 years, she has served multiple roles with the convention: Party Liaison, Assistant Security Director, Lead Security Director, Board Member and Vice-President of Operations. She has also worked in a variety of departments like the Dealers Room, Art Show, Con Suite and Gophers for other furry and science fiction conventions.
DataHawk is very excited for the challenge, but she recognizes leading the convention will be a team effort:
“I'm proud of the staff who have come together over the years to make MFF the event it is today. The chair may be the captain, but it's a huge ship to navigate and it can't be run by one person.”
