MFF 2021 Hotel Lottery

First off, we apologize for the delay. We understand the frustration this has caused and the reasons have been varied, but suffice to say, we are truly sorry. Related to this delay, we have some positive and some unfortunate news. The positive news is that while the Hyatt Regency O’Hare was closed during the Pandemic, they took the opportunity to begin renovation of their guest rooms. Unfortunately, due to unexpected supply-chain issues later in the Pandemic, they were both unable to finish this renovation, and unable to return a number of rooms to service. This means that while some rooms have been renovated, most have not, and the total number of available rooms at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare has been temporarily reduced by approximately 20% for this year only.

While the majority of our attendees stay in hotels other than the Hyatt Regency O’Hare, we understand that for many, the Hyatt Regency O’Hare “feels” like the center of the convention. We urge you, this year, to consider adding a number of other properties to your lottery entry. Including additional properties will not negatively affect your chances of being at your preferred hotel, it will only increase your chances of being awarded a room elsewhere, if one is not available there. (And you may find that some of our other hotels have amenities that you prefer as some have pools, others have free breakfast and parking.)

With all that in mind, this year we are pleased to welcome back the Hyatt Regency O'Hare, Hyatt Rosemont, Aloft Chicago O’Hare, Comfort Inn O’Hare Airport, and Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare hotels. Shuttle service will be running from the Hyatt Rosemont, Aloft, and Comfort Inn. The Hyatt Regency O’Hare and Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare are both within walking distance of the convention center. Visit our hotels page to learn more about the differences between these hotels. And answers to many common questions related to these hotels and their policies, can be found in our hotel FAQ.

In addition to our standard room lottery, we will also be using this lottery for our suites at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare, our Accessible “ADA-Compliant” Rooms, and our rooms for those who are mobility impaired and need close-proximity rooms. For answers to commonly asked questions, we encourage you to check out our lottery FAQ.

Finally, new this year, all reservations will be booked through Midwest FurFest’s room booking service, provided by Cvent. This service will allow attendees to manage their own reservations through a centralized portal, allowing them to manage roommates, special requests, and more. MFF is splitting the cost of this service with all attendees and a non-refundable fee of $4 will be charged for each night booked.

Feeling like you’ve learned enough? The lottery will be open from September 27th through October 4th and click below to enter.
