It's with great pleasure that we are bringing back the Artists Marketplace to the Artist Alley for Midwest FurFest for 2019!
This part of our expanded Artists Alley follows all of the same rules and policies with a few notable and exciting exceptions:
The Artists Marketplace will feature assigned tables for the entirety of our Alley hours. These half tables will be fixed throughout the weekend, much like those featured in the Dealer's Den. This will allow our artists that want to produce, take commissions, and sell all weekend to come and go as they please during open hours and not be subject to the lottery.
Artists in the Marketplace will be allowed three additional items of pre-made merchandise, bringing the total to five. This guideline has a small degree of flexibility, but is ultimately to the judgement of the Alley Staff. The Alley is not a substitute for the Dealer's Den, and if an artist has any questions they should feel free to contact the Staff at email@example.com.
These Marketplace half tables will be pre-applied for in September, with specific dates to be determined. Once our registration period closes, we will run a lottery for the number of spaces we have available, identical to our traditional Alley. There is a fee of $75 USD per single half table (limited to one per artist), to be paid once the lottery results have been announced. Artists will have until September 30th to submit their table fees. Please be aware there will additionally be a standby list in the event those selected are unable to attend.
If the Marketplace seems like just the place for you, please remember to familiarize yourself with the Artists Alley Rules and policies to be followed by our artists.
Again, if there are any questions please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
