The Gator is back…
…and he brought friends! Galactic Gator had such a blast at Midwest FurFest 2022 that he just couldn’t stay away. But this time, he’s won’t be alone. He’s invited his entire crew of villainous critters to join him for one unforgettable return to Rosemont, Illinois, as they descend on Midwest FurFest 2025 for a Villainous Vacation!
Their mission? Stir up some fun, soak in the con vibes, and turn this winter weekend into a not-so-sneaky escape filled with mischief and memories. While the city braces for cold, this crew is bringing some mischief —along with epic Guests of Honor, high-energy events, and panels packed with so much fun, it ought to be illegal (don’t worry, they checked). Midwest FurFest was founded with two basic purposes: to provide our community with a place to educate themselves in the arts of anthropomorphic literature, art and performance; and to facilitate fundraising and donations to non-profit organizations which promote the wellbeing of humans and/or animals.
What is Midwest FurFest?
Midwest FurFest is an annual convention which takes place in the west suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. We come together to celebrate the furry fandom, which includes art, literature and performances based around anthropomorphic animals.Midwest FurFest is a production of Midwest Furry Fandom, Inc, a 501(c)3 (non-profit corporation).
Since 2000, the convention has grown from 388 attendees to more than 16,000, one of the largest conventions of its type in the world. We are proud to have raised over $900,000 for various social, wildlife, and animal related charities. Additionally, the Midwest Furfest Art Show generated over $100K last year alone from the work of the talented artists and makers of furry fandom through auctions, donations, and benefits.
