Convention Publications for 2008

Convention Book
The convention booklet will be 8.5"x11", black & white on the inside and a color cover. This book includes need-to-know information including:

• Artist Alley information
• Dealers room listings
• Programming information
• Artwork from various artists, including Guests of Honor
• Stories from various writers in the fandom, including Guests of Honor
• Other information to help guide your way through MFF

Pocket Program
The pocket program contains schedule information for all convention programming. If space is available, the pocket program will also include artwork.

Restaurant Guide
This publication was a hit at the Hyatt, and it returns this year with all-new reviews of the dining opportunities in and around the Westin. It also includes information on the nearest supermarket, drug store, art supply store and other necessities.


Submission Guidelines

Artwork
If you have artwork you’d like to publish in the MFF ’08 Con Book or Pocket Program, submit it by September 30, 2008 and note the following:

• Follow our theme, 'North to Alaska'
• Be rated G or PG
• Submit it as a High Quality TIFF with 600 dpi or higher, or submit the Original Artwork

Please be sure to include the name you wish to have listed in the Artwork index.

Stories
Short stories may also be included in the convention booklet and follow our theme, 'North to Alaska'. Stories will be reviewed by the editor(s) and may be used as filler as needed.

Please email your stories to publications.2008@furfest.org. The deadline is September 30th, 2008.

Advertising
If you have a business, a convention, a service or anything else you want to advertise to the furry community, the MFF Con Book is a great place to do so.

We accept three forms of transaction:
-- The swap of advertising space between publications (ideal for cons)
-- Promised space to the guests of honor or other patrons, dependent on the convention chair’s approval.
-- Good old fashioned checks.

Prices

• Full page (8.5"x11") $100
• Half page $75
• Quarter Page $50
• Business Card Size $25

We may also make the inside front and/or back covers available to advertising – please inquire if you’re interested.


All advertising must be camera ready. PDF files with embedded fonts are preferred. However, we will accept TIFF files at 600 DPI or higher.


We reserve the right to refuse advertising for any reason and will return money to the requestor in that event.
