Chicago
is served by two major airports: O'Hare International Airport
and Midway Airport, with Midway being the smaller airport, more
focused on discount carriers. For general information about
the airports, as well as traffic and parking information, terminal
maps, and available services, see the O'Hare
website or the Midway
website.
If
you need to use ground transportation, here are your options
from O'Hare:
-
My Chauffeur
Limousine Service (800-244-6200) offers service to and
from O'Hare Airport to the Hyatt Regency Woodfield. For
a shared car (may be multiple stops before reaching the
hotel) each way is $34.90 per person. A private car (1-4
people that goes directly to your destination) is a flat
rate of $56.90; this may be cheaper if you have three or
more in your party. Each person more than four is an additional
$5.50. If you use My Chauffeur, you can call the number
above to make a reservation, then call them once you have
arrived at O'Hare and they will pick you up. You can also
call once you arrive at O'Hare and they will pick you up
even without a reservation, though that may take a bit longer.
- Taxis
are also available. All
Star Taxi and Limo Service (888-533-4240) offers a flat
rate of $25 for up to four people to and from O'Hare. All
Star Taxi has courtesy phones located at the Hotel / Transportation
"Computer Kiosks" in the baggage claim area in
all terminals. American
Taxi (800-244-1177) charges $29 to and from O'Hare;
you can also use the free phones at the O'Hare baggage claim
to request a pickup from American Taxi; just dial "15".
DO NOT use any other taxi service if at all possible - they
will charge you "meter-and-a-half" to go from
the city to the suburbs, and the fare will be in excess
of $50.
Ground transportation from Midway is extremely expensive - one-way
transportation will be at least $50 and likely much more. If
you are flying into Midway and are on a budget, your best bet
is to take the CTA
(Chicago Transit Authority) Orange Line elevated train to
downtown Chicago. Follow the directions in the “Travel
By Train or Bus” section from there. The taxi companies
mentioned above also service Midway and will cost approximately
$50-60 each way to the hotel. My Chauffeur Limousine Service
(800-244-6200) is also available: For a shared car (may be multiple
stops before reaching the hotel) each way is $63.50 per person.
A private car (1-3 people that goes directly to your destination)
is a flat rate of $85.50; this may be cheaper if you have two
or more in your party. DO NOT use any other taxi service if
at all possible - they will charge you "meter-and-a-half"
to go from the city to the suburbs, and the fare will be in
excess of $90.
