Convention Publications for 2007

The deadline for art and writing submissions is now closed as of September 30, 2007.

Pocket Program
The pocket program will contain schedule information for all the programming that will be happening during the convention. If space is available, artwork will also be in the booklet.

Restaurant Guide
This publication will provide you with the nearest dining possibilities with reviews to help make your dining choices during the convention.

Convention Booklet
The convention booklet will be 8.5"x11" this year, black & white on the inside and a color cover.

This book will carry convention need-to-know information including:

 
  • Artists Alley information
  • Dealers room listing
  • Programming information
  • Artwork from different artists, including Guests of Honor
  • Stories from different writers in the fandom, including the Guests of Honor
  • Other information to help guide your way through our convention

Submission Guidelines

Artwork
Any artwork submitted should be done by September 30, 2007 and have the following:

  • Follow our theme, 'Critters on the High Seas'
  • Be rated PG or lower
  • Submitted High Quality TIFF with 600 dpi or higher, or Original Artwork

Stories
Short stories may also be included in the convention booklet and follow our theme, 'Critters on the High Seas'. Stories will be reviewed by the editor(s) and may be used as filler as needed.
Please email your stories to publications@furfest.org. The deadline is September 30th, 2007.

Advertising
Advertising in the convention booklet will be done to show talent of furry related events and/or publications. Three forms of payment will be accepted:
The swap of advertising space from one publication to another.
Promised space to the guests of honor or other patrons, only after being approved by the convention chair.
Buying of advertising space.

*Full page (8.5"x11") $75
*Half page $50
*Quarter Page $30
*Business Card Size $15


All advertising must be camera ready. PDF files with embedded fonts are preferred. We will however accept TIFF files at 600 DPI or higher.


We reserve the right to refuse advertising and returning the money to the requestor for any reason.
